Program
This workshop explores some of the different ways in which ceramic materials can be approached by experimenting with clay building techniques such as slab and coil.
Participants will also learn how to finish the pieces with engobe and to use sgraffito and burnishing techniques. The pieces will be fired at the end of the workshop.

Program This workshop is an introduction to cinematography in fiction and documentary filmmaking. We will promote an understanding of the fundamental role of a cinematographer on a film set, as well as the of different working methods and team dynamics, covering all stages of the filmmaking process: preparation, shooting and post-production. In the practical component, participants will have the opportunity to recreate real filming situations, with outdoor shooting using natural light and indoor shooting with artificial light. We will conclude with a joint viewing and discussion of the filmed material, accompanied by a brief introduction to the basic principles of colour correction.

Practical observation exercises aimed at the development of the participants’ capacities for representation and expression, while providing a deeper knowledge of materials used in drawing: India ink, watercolors, oil pastels, charcoal and graphite. The workshop will include a nude live-model drawing session.

The workshop aims develop experimental work using these two printing techniques based on unconventional photographic materials.
With these processes, students can work on various types of drawing and watercolour paper that has been previously sensitised and prepared to be exposed to sunlight or in a UV chamber in various formats, and introduce colour using watercolour pigments.
Alternative printing techniques are an excellent working basis for participants from various artistic fields who wish to conduct research and explore variations on images.

Program In this workshop, students will discover how cartoons were made in a time when computers did not exist. Using loose clippings, a pencil and an eraser it is possible to create movement. Drawing, erasing, redrawing, manipulating cutouts, allow “frame by frame” sequences to be photographed and accelerated to create a cartoon.

Program Our proposal in this atelier is the creation of an imaginary museum and of its collection. With these images, each student will elaborate and build the illustrated catalogue of his or her imaginary museum.

Participants will create autobiographical stories with found/manipulated/stolen images distributed by the course leader. This collection will be based on images from the history of illustration and the history of comics.

Each student will create a comic book story, invent and draw original characters, based in a personal universe. How does it end?

Program We will consider some of the principles of narrative in an illustrated album, in the context of editorial illustration. We will use traditional materials such as colored pencils, markers or cut-outs.
