On-campus classes
The main structural rules of the language of Comics – ballooning, graphic coherence, reading rhythm, narrative sequence, etc. – will be made clear through short spanned exercises. We will approach various techniques and strategies used in the production of drawing sequences and of the written script while building a page of Comics. The program also includes a group of classes in observation drawing dedicated to Comics that emphasize situations of action, characters’ movement, facial expressions and the drawing of space. Throughout the school year students will make several visits to the Lisbon Bedeteca.
