The Funcação Altice Portugal Scholarships for Artistic Training aim to provide 5 scholarships to students enrolled in the following Levels: Level 3 of the full courses in Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Cinema/Moving Image, Illustration/BD and Jewelry; Level 2 of the full course in Photography; Level 3 of the evening courses in Drawing/Painting and Ceramics. The scholarship represents a 50% reduction in the tuition fee for the course in question.
Applicants must submit a portfolio of their work in digital format by October 23rd of the academic year to which the scholarship relates. Applicants must also submit a statement justifying financial need, supporting this with documents they consider relevant or those requested of them. The selection will be made by a committee composed of a member of the Ar.Co board, the head of the department for which the grant is intended and a representative of the Fundação Altice Portugal.
The portfolio must consist of 10 quality JPG images, representative of recent work or from the last year, accompanied by the respective description for each image. For candidates working in Cinema/Moving Image, the portfolio must consist of 3 audio and/or video files in MP4 format, accompanied by the respective description for each work. The total number of files must not exceed 1.5 GB.
For applications from Ar.Co students, the selection of images to be included in the portfolio should preferably be selected in agreement with the respective Department Head.
Ar.Co raises a limited number of scholarships each year, sponsored by companies and private entities. All students enrolled in the Advanced Course in Visual Arts, the Advanced Project in Photography, the Applied Project in Illustration or the Individual Project program can apply for these scholarships. The scholarship represents a 50% reduction in the tuition fee for the course in question.
The scholarships are awarded, upon application, by a jury composed of a member of the Ar.Co Board, a member of the Ministry of Culture and the head of the department where the candidate studied or the dominant subject area in their previous work.
Applicants must submit a portfolio of their work by October 23rd of the academic year to which the scholarship relates. At the end of the academic year, scholarship students will be able to take part in the Scholarship and Finalists exhibition.

Destina-se a premiar uma das candidaturas apresentadas anualmente no âmbito do programa "Bolsas Ar.Co Empresas e Entidades Privadas" que manifeste excepcional promessa.
