A practical approach to directing actors. A hands-on class centered on the Voice&Body methodology. The pedagogy aims to focus on developing an experimental mindset. To this end, students will be introduced to the “Alphabet of the Body”—the language of movement proposed by the method—and will be invited to explore their own voices as tools for communication and spatial awareness. The first part of the session is designed as a group exercise, and the second part will be devoted to individual experimentation. Students will learn to observe each other’s work, a fundamental process both for understanding the actor’s physicality in space and for understanding the role of the observer.
