Program Alternative processes in Photography I is an essential complement to the study of photography and an introduction to less conventional modes of image production. In this first module, that precedes Alternative Processes in Photography II, we will approach the techniques of the pin-hole camera, instantaneous photography, cyanotypes and the gum bichromate printing process. Students will develop their experiments departing from digital negatives and will explore printing modes on different photosensitive materials.

Preparing the digital camera for shooting, use and optimization of the menus and presets. Managing and processing the different types of files for post-production in Photoshop. This course precedes Digital Lab II.

The workshop aims at integrating the multi-disciplinary study of color, practical and theoretical.
Color-Light and Color-Matter (through what means do we perceive color and how do we manipulate it); color grammar and color separation; tonal variation and dominant color; harmonies, transparencies and color degradation.
